Newest Hasher

Rebel got so frustrated at trying to get lazy-ass GHHH hashers to volunteer to set runs that she and Chop Suzuki decided it made just be easier to make another Hasher. In true GHHH tradition, they aren't going to give him a name until he comes to ten runs. Congratulations to the Hare Line and our Grand Master! On Sex!!

Exporting hasher from Guam

Dearest Grandmaster,

Hafa Adai from Guam, USA in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (the furthest outpost of the realm). We send greetings and salutations along with the request that you print this missive and have it read while in the consumption of a frosty cold beer.

Our hash diverged from the Mother in 1981 and has just celebrated its 1300th run last Saturday evening. Like you, we chose to run our hashes on Saturday afternoons at four o'clock as we definitely require most of Sunday morning to recuperate. When I say diverged - this is true; we became a 'Tyrancy' vice having a grandmaster...we do not vote on anything on our hash, it is devine right of the tyrant. When the tyrant deems the time is right (for his liver to heal...) he abdicates to a new tyrant of his choosing. This complete mismanagement has served us in good stead for many years.

All that proprietary b.s. out of the way, I write to you to inform you of the arrival of one of our spawn to your fine hash. As Guam produces absolutely nothing of value we feel that exporting hashers is our way of giving to the world - like the clap or herpes that other hashes give - our 'gifts' continue to give. Now this young hasher has opted to join the 'Peace Corps' - what 'corps' has to do with 'peace' I leave to more intelligent gents than myself to determine...however, they have decided to post him in Georgetown for three months before sending him to some other great area of your country that requires hashing trails. He did not hash for long with us so do not think he is an unmoldable, fat, bald, walkie-talkie type like the rest of the older hashers...(getting there myself I can assure you)

He has been given your blog address - your hash looks very similiar to ours (we are H.A.R.O.P. - Hashers Against Running On Pavement as well...) as far as the terrain is concerned.

His name is Jesse - I cc'd him on this email in the hopes that it will force him to join your tribe for at least a couple hashes while he is in Georgetown. Hope to run with you myself in the future; however, I will await a trip report from our emissary before booking a flight from our rock to your sand...

Shine on you crazy diamonds - on-on.

Another jungle run:

The GHHH is a lazy hash;
we have to import our runners from England.

Rum in Her Crack whinged that she did not have her picture on the website yet.

Birdy Num Num was bird-watching again.

Tia insisted that she was also a sinner.

Run 548 at Marudi Creek - Madewini Gardens - 15 April 2007

Run 548
Hares = Swampy, Birdy Num Num, Gypsy Bitch, and Ramesh.
Trail in, through, and around Marudi Creek on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. On On at the Madewini Creek Resort on the Soesdyke-Timheri Road.

The Georgetown HHH gets back to its roots:
jungle trails and blackwater creeks.

These hashers forgot that holding hands on the run is a sin.

They did it again.

Hope they didn't catch any crabs.

Everyone got across safely (even the hasher with the camera).

Someone said a Black Caiman was spotted in the pond the night before.

'Birdy Num Num' thinks he found a mermaid.

And then he went back for another. (Actually, he just wanted to make sure those two didn't start holding hands again.)

The trail wasn't all through water.

Boys following the Hare to the "Fear Factor."

But it was ladies first.

Trevor showed us how it should have been done.

Sand hills are another tradition for the GHHH.

Finally the end of the trail.

Virgins try to drink their down-down, but Niles pops his cork before the first verse is half over.

Georgetown is an equal opportunity hash:
Wet t-shirts aren't just for gyals.

The day dawned cool, bright & clear with glorious morning sunshine as some 35 or so of us gathered in the avenue just opposite the small British Palace on Main Street. 10:30 a.m. was the scheduled departure time, and not wanting to disappoint our proud (or dishonorable as some of you might be grumbling) record of tardiness and cunctation, the Hash left at 11:05.

Half an hour later on the East Bank Highway, boiling, black clouds steamrolled over the landscape and it wasn’t long before a massive downpour plunged from the heavens. It would recede a bit though by the time we got to the location of the run at “Marudi Creek” on the Sosedyke/Linden Highway.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes for Baby Jesus (I heard he is the Web Masturbater and sometime Grand Master), Swampy and Gypsy Bitch to arrive, Chop Suzuki summoned the VIRGINS (Not to be confused with biological virgins, who are very rare in hashing and invariably male) to give them his little pep talk about how they can preserve their pureness.

One of the first things I noticed was this “virgin” who was wearing something that looked like a ballet shoe or a bedroom slippers of some sort. I thought poor gal, if she only knew what was in store for her later.

Things got underway, with quite a few running and most taking a leisurely stroll through the rain----You would have thought the rain would have gotten them to free up their legs, but it was business as usual.

It wasn’t long before we got to the first check point and for Front Running Paperless Bastard to live up to his name and completely run past a false trail mark to god knows where (what a showoff!!).

About 20 minutes into the run we came across a small Creek which was just above knee height for most of us and a cakewalk to cross. Nonetheless, the Short Cutting Bastards couldn’t resist the urge to try and get around the holy water which looked like a running stream of El Dorado Rum.

Out of the creek and into the …creek. This time we descended upon this small “resort” that is owned by a GRA Customs officer. After expending little effort to convince the owners (we told them Birdy Num Num was a journalist with National Geographic and was doing a full length feature for the magazine; suckers!!! They bought the whole story) to let us use the small pond as part of our trail. Everyone got in except for the virgin with the ballet shoes; she had to be “escorted” by Birdy Num Num and Mr. GEM (Simeon Corbin). Birdy Num Num, with the virgin in hand, even performed a sacred water ritual while the rest of us sang the hymns; great stuff!!

On!! On!! We went through a swamp and jungle for about half of an hour (by this time we had the front runners howling and making all sorts of primal noises; maybe because they knew what was in store ahead).

We finally got out the swamp and came out at the edge of a sand cliff. The hares came forward to inform us that we had two (or three; I really can’t remember) options to use to get to the bottom of the cliff. I remember the “baby” option (I took this rout, just in case you were wondering) and the “fear factor”. Most of the Hashers (except for three) took the Fear factor. The fear factor entailed that you had to go down a rather steep portion of the cliff using a rope (the rope bit turned out to be optional with some of the guys jumping down). As expected, there was some drama for some coming down (one female virgin took about 10 minutes to get down), but all things being considered, everyone did laudably.

From then on it was a relatively easy passage back to the starting point.

I have to gather some info as to what went on at the On In and let you guys know which Hashers with Hash-crimes from the trail got abused.

On! ON!

Swampy

Saturday, April 7, 2007

I know you were getting anxious, but worry no more! I'm back from my extended Hiatus from the Hash. It is true (I know you probably heard it from someone) that I ate some Marmite that expired in 2003 and which sent me to the hospital to undergo emergency bowel surgery. The recovery took me three elongated months.

Anyway, down to business. This edition of the Hash will see us going up the East Bank and on to the Beautiful Madewini Creek at a place called Madewini Gardens. I heard there are two swimming pools and the creek for all you aquatic Hashers.

There is going be a large menu, lots to drink (I mean alcohol), sand, and Brazilian models (not really).

Feel free to bring whatever games you want (a cricket bat and ball would be most welcomed).

NB. It is compulsory that you swim two laps of the pool to complete the Hash biathlon.

On!! ON!!

The GHHH insists on having only the freshest foods for the On On.

That pot is full of fresh, home-made Rabbit Stew cooking in pineapple wine. Awesome! (The chicken was in another pot).
